About the Designer
Nayana Nilmini’s creative journey began with a Diploma in Fashion Design from Kangan Institute, followed by a Bachelor of Fashion Design from RMIT University and a Certificate IV in Millinery from Melbourne Fashion Institute. Her education and professional practice have shaped a strong technical foundation in garment construction, pattern making, tailoring and millinery, complemented by a considered and intuitive approach to design.
As the founder and creative force behind Nayana, she brings together her passion for clothing, headwear and craftsmanship through a practice grounded in quality, individuality and thoughtful design. Her work explores the interplay between structure and softness, form and movement, and traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression.
