Care Guide
Garment Care
Each Nayana garment is thoughtfully crafted using carefully selected natural, recycled, and specialty materials. Many of these fabrics possess unique textures, surface variations, slubs, irregular weaves, or subtle colour variations that are inherent to the material itself and should not be considered faults. These characteristics are part of the beauty and individuality of the fabric. Some garments are made from delicate fabrics and feature intricate details that require extra care when wearing.
Please be mindful of jewellery, bags, belts, watches, and other accessories, as they may catch, pull, or damage delicate fibres and embellishments.
To preserve the beauty, shape, and longevity of your garment:
- Always follow the care instructions provided on the garment care label.
- Handle delicate fabrics with care and avoid rough surfaces that may cause snagging.
- Store garments appropriately to maintain their shape.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause fading over time.
- Treat stains promptly according to the fabric care instructions.
- Professional dry cleaning is recommended where specified on the care label.
With proper care, your garment will continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
Millinery Care
Each Nayana headpiece is individually handcrafted using a combination of natural and synthetic materials. Depending on the design, your piece may feature delicate elements such as handcrafted silk flowers, feathers, pearls, natural fibres, hand-dyed materials, and other artisanal details. Due to the nature of these materials, slight variations in colour, texture, and finish are to be expected and are not considered faults. Natural and hand-dyed components may also respond to environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature, and sunlight exposure.
To ensure the longevity of your headpiece:
- Handle your piece with care and avoid unnecessary pressure on delicate details.
- Protect your headpiece from moisture, rain, and excessive humidity.
- Avoid crushing, bending, or stacking items on top of your headpiece.
- Store your headpiece in the box provided when not in use.
- Keep the piece out of direct sunlight during storage, as prolonged exposure may cause fading or discolouration over time.
- Transport your headpiece in its storage box whenever possible.
We carefully package every headpiece to help protect it during transit and maintain its shape. We recommend storing your piece in the same manner as received to provide ongoing protection and preserve its original form. With thoughtful care and storage, your handcrafted millinery piece can be treasured and enjoyed for many years.
